Life's a Beach!

Sunday Brandon and I took the day off to enjoy the island.  We slept in and then enjoyed lunch at the Marriott and then headed to the beach.  Here is some pictures from our day.  We enjoyed looking for seashells and trying to snorkel!

Our New Apartment!

Here are some pictures of our new apartment and our gorgeous view.  We are so thankful for our friends Jakki and Joe for helping us find this place with such a short notice.  We will be moving out at the end of December into an apartment across from the Ross Vet School campus.  It will be much more convenient for Brandon and I to be closer to school, but we will definitely miss this place!

Halloween: St. Kitts Style

I celebrated my second Halloween at the prep school last week. We headed to the Ross Vet School campus for trick-or-treating with the vet school students.  There are seven vet school classes, and we hit all the students up for candy.  Even Mr. Brandon (as the kids call him) gave out candy to the kids.  The kids got so much candy and had a lot of fun showing off their costumes.  After trick-or-treating, we headed back to the prep school for some more Halloween fun. They each got their own pumpkin to decorate and Mr. Brandon came in and helped us carve them.  All week long, they practiced a reader’s theatre script called “The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything”. They created their own backdrop and stick puppets and performed for the other classes at the school. The festivities ended with homemade Halloween cupcakes and the lighting of their jack-o-lanterns!

Thriller: Prep School Style

The students at the prep school danced to Thriller during morning assembly.  My students even got in on the action, and by the end of the performance EVERYONE was dancing.  Here is video of the FUN!
